Over the last few months, we have reached out to one another and remained in a solidarity of prayer and hope. It has been a great source of encouragement and comfort to know that God’s Spirit continues to unite us even when we are physically apart.
As we prepare to celebrate the Feast of Pentecost next Sunday, we keep vigil this week opening our hearts to welcome the Holy Spirit into our lives and into our community. I invite you to take a few minutes each day to light a candle and join in the prayer of this chant.
We pray that the Holy Spirit will enlighten the minds of those working to find a vaccine for the Coronavirus. We remember all who are sick or weighed down with grief; may God’s Spirit bring them healing, comfort and hope. As we thank God for all who are caring for the sick and vulnerable, we pray that the Holy Spirit will continue to guide, protect and strengthen them in their work.
