Holy Spirit Church Golden Jubilee Celebrations

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Holy Spirit Church. It was a joy to see so many of you gathered together.

A special word of thanks to Fr. Declan Blake, Fr. Martin Hughes and Fr. Eamonn Burke who returned to concelebrate the Mass with our own priests Fr. John Dunphy & Fr. Rajesh Joseph and to Auxiliary Bishop of Dublin, Paul Dempsey, who graciously presided.

We were also delighted to honour our wonderful volunteer, Kathleen Canney, who received the Benemerenti Medal in recognition of over 50 years of dedicated service to the Church—service that began even before Holy Spirit Church opened its doors. It was a double celebration for Kathleen, as she recently marked her 95th birthday. She is truly an inspiration, and we thank her sincerely for all she has done and continues to do.

We also want to express our heartfelt gratitude to the people of the parish for your goodness, generosity, and unwavering support over the past 50 years. Everything we have become as a parish community is because of you. We look forward with hope and joy to many more years of faith, fellowship, and shared journey together.

A very special thank you as well to our fabulous hospitality team, who looked after everyone with tea, coffee, drinks, and delicious treats. We are especially grateful to those who baked cakes and contributed homemade goodies—they added so much warmth to the celebration. Thank you also to our Parish Pastoral Council and to the volunteers who made sure the evening was a huge success.

We were delighted to showcase the recent renovations to the church, including the new roof, new windows, new carpet, full repainting, new bathrooms, and the opening of our Jubilee Centre.

It was a fantastic evening of faith, gratitude, and joy shared with our parish community
