St. Pappin’s Parish Celebrates Eco Congregation Gold Award
A wonderful achievement in caring for our common home
St. Pappin’s Parish was delighted to celebrate a very special occasion on Saturday, 3rd October, as we received the Eco Congregation Gold Award at the 6pm Mass in Holy Spirit Church.
We were honoured to welcome Archbishop Dermot Farrell, who celebrated Mass, along with members of Eco Congregation Ireland, who presented the award in recognition of our parish’s commitment to caring for creation and promoting greater environmental awareness.
This award is a wonderful recognition of the efforts made throughout our parish community to care for the environment and to put our faith into action. As Christians, we are called to be good stewards of God’s creation, and this achievement reflects the dedication, enthusiasm and generosity of so many people who have contributed to our Eco Parish journey.
We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who has played a part in this journey, including our parishioners, volunteers and all those who have supported our environmental initiatives. Every contribution, large or small, helps us to build a more sustainable parish and to encourage future generations to care for our common home.
We are grateful to Archbishop Farrell and the members of Eco Congregation Ireland for sharing this special occasion with us.
Congratulations to the whole St. Pappin’s Parish community on this wonderful achievement! May we continue to work together to protect and cherish the gift of creation entrusted to us.
