On Holy Thursday, we celebrated the Mass of the Lord’s Supper in St. Joseph’s Church, with Archbishop Dermot Farrell as the celebrant, followed by a Holy Hour of Adoration at the Altar of Repose.
During the Mass, Archbishop Farrell washed the feet of 12 of our parishioners, symbolising Christ’s humility, love, and call to serve one another.
It was truly a beautiful and prayerful celebration, with a large attendance from our parish community as we began our Easter journey together.
We extend our sincere thanks to Archbishop Farrell for joining us, and to the large congregation who attended and helped make the celebration so special.
We continued our Easter journey with our outdoor Stations of the Cross on Good Friday.
We began at St. Joseph’s Church, walking in prayer to Holy Spirit Church, and finishing at Virgin Mary Church, where we gathered afterwards for tea, coffee, and hot cross buns.
It was a beautifully emotional and respectful walk, and we were delighted to be joined by such a large crowd from our parish community.
We extend our sincere thanks to all who joined us, and to our wonderful volunteers who helped organise and support the event.
The Parish Team and Pastoral Council wish you all a very happy and blessed Easter.
We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who gave their time and effort in preparing for our Easter celebrations—those who cleaned and prepared our churches, and all who joined us for our services.
Wishing you and your families a joyful and peaceful Easter.
