Children have an innate sense of the presence of God. The Godly Play approach helps children to explore their faith through story, to gain religious language and to enhance their spiritual experience through wonder and play. Based on Montessori principles and developed using a spiral curriculum the Godly Play method serves children through early, middle and late childhood and beyond. (www.godlyplayfoundation.org )
Ideally Godly Play happens in a live setting with everyone sitting in a large circle, in these Covid19 days that will not be possible and these videos are an attempt to bring a taste of the Godly Play experience to our homes during this Holy Week. Aideen McBride trained as a Godly Play facilitator in July 2019. She has worked for many years in St Pappin's Parish particularly with the children of Scoil and tSeachtar Laoch and Gaelscoil Bhaile Munna. These 7 videos of the 'Seven Faces of Easter' are available in both English and Irish in the links below and it is hoped they will help your family enter into a sense of the season. Enjoy.
